When I was researching a DJ for our 20th Wedding Anniversary I ended up calling five different people/businesses to not only see who had the best price, but who I felt I could vibe with as well (I would pay more if it meant feeling a better connection).  One business that I was considering was more than double of what DJ Intense cost so as odd as it seems I thought, well they must offer something that Maria (owner of DJ Intense) does not.  I called them and very politely asked why going with them is worth paying more than double then other DJ's I had found.  When he gave me his reasons I knew that he had nothing more to offer and if anything, DJ intense was offering much more.  

Additionally, other DJ's took awhile to get back to me where as with DJ intense I was not only getting an immediate response, but she followed up (not in an annoying way, in a way that I really appreciated because I was busy with work, but really had to nail the DJ down).  

At the end of the day, it was a no brainer to go with Maria, and let me tell you, she did NOT disappoint.  She worked with me in regards to music that I didn't want to hear, and specific songs + artists that I did want to hear, she kept in touch consistently not only up until the day of the event, but she even checked in the day after.  I will 100% be hiring Maria for every future event that I have when I'm in need of a DJ.  

Don't even bother calling other companies, I promise you that they're likely overrated and overpriced.  

Oh, and I forgot to mention that not only is Maria incredibly personable, but she's also a a US Marine Vet!  What's not to love?!

I Recently I had my daughter's christening party in October. My family has been going through some tough times, so I really wanted this to be a happy, celebration. My guests ranged in age from 3-months-old to 93-years-old. I wanted the music to cater and appeal to this wide range in age. I remember going to some parties and feeling bad for the older crowd because the DJ was just playing young techno music and had no regard for the whole crowd. 

I wanted EVERYONE to be happy, tough feat, I know. Lol

Last year, I had the privilege of attending my very good friend's 50th surprise party. It was one of the best parties I ever went to and I wasn't even drinking, Lol I had just found out I was pregnant. The music really made the party and I remember hardly ever sitting down. My girlfriends and I danced all night to groovy R and B hits to classic 80's beats to today's great pop songs. This is the DJ that I had to have at my party, so I asked my friend for the info. 

From the second I first spoke to Maria, it felt like I knew her forever! She was so easy to talk to and really made the stressful situation of planning a party easy. I knew I had nothing to worry about in the music department with Maria on board. She made sure she knew exactly what type of feeling I wanted in the room and she delivered. Maria knew how to read the crowd and made sure all the guest's musical tastes were satisfied. Maria is very organized and punctual. She started making my individualized playlist months in advance. 

Maria had no problem traveling to my event and was there, prepared, and set up long before the guests arrived. Maria was in no rush to leave and played music (with a huge smile on her face) until the last guest left. She treated me like family and truly cared about the party as much as I did. There is nothing Maria won't do to make her clients happy and satisfied with her work. I use the term "clients" loosely because Maria doesn't make you feel like a client, she makes you feel like family. 

If your looking for someone to set the mood and execute a fun, fantastic party, I highly recommend Maria to be your DJ and she will make your day unforgettable!!

DJ Intense Events was an absolute pleasure to work with.  Maria is a professional who not only knows music, but knows how to make her client feel heard and involved.  She kept in constant contact with me to ensure I would have exactly what I envisioned for my event.  She listened to all my ideas, offered wonderful suggestions, and really took the time to get to know me and my event.  The music was a hit and my guests raved about Maria all night long.

DJ Intense you are my go to DJ! Every time I have requested you I was never disappointed! Each special celebration I've had you at was a huge success all thanks to your professionalism, enthusiasm, and dedication to your work.

You were a big part of my daughter's  last minute planned surprise party for becoming an RN, making it another amazing memory for the books! Our guests here in SI were so excited  knowing you were running the event! You always know how to work the crowd and get everyone to dance and be involved. When you played SHOUT, you had everyone rocking on the dance floor, both old and young!

I remember when I first hired you for my son's Marine commissioning party and it still remains as one of my fondest memories. Your ability to convey music that every generation can enjoy at the party is a true gift that only you possess. Even our 90 year old aunt was dancing non-stop that day!

Then at my youngest son's commissioning party for becoming a  2nd Lieutenant in the Army, you knew when and what songs to play. You had everyone standing proud with Happy tears in their eyes when you played 'Proud to be an American'. Everyone watched my son and all his buddies holding on to each other singing and raising there glasses. A moment I will  never forget.

You put so much time and effort into customizing what people want and need. That is a gift you alone have. You care and know how to make every event special. When you run a party you don't miss a beat!

I highly recommend you to anyone who has any type of event, you know how to bring it on and make a memory that know one will ever forget!

What can I say about DJ intense?

I cannot say enough GREAT things about Maria - aka DJ Intense! My new husband and I hired her for our wedding on May 4th. Not only is she a great DJ who kept the energy and flow of the evening going just as we hoped, she is also the most hard-working and thorough person I have ever met.

The weeks leading up to our wedding Maria took several calls with us and our wedding coordinator to make sure no detail was left out. She even took an extra trip out to the wedding venue to make sure she knew the layout, check the compatibility of her equipment, and work out any outstanding questions or concerns that we had.

Two days before our wedding I was informed that our wedding coordinator - who worked for the venue where we were getting married - was "let go" and would not be coming to our wedding...(long story)...

I obviously was in complete panic mode!!! I was completely overwhelmed! My family had already arrived to NYC and I was entertaining them while trying to deal with this drama. Luckily, our DJ came to the rescue! After I told her what happened, she took control, told me "don't worry, I'm going to start calling people until I get answers" and started calling managers at our wedding venue and she sorted everything out. She knew the details of the wedding so well and she volunteered to step in and fix everything!

Maria (aka DJ Intense) thank you so, SO much for everything that you did for me and John!! Not only are you good at your job, but you go above and beyond for your clients. You are a gem and we are so happy that we picked you to be our DJ on our wedding day.

First off I want to say it’s incredibly difficult to plan your own wedding. Way too many variables and moving pieces that you can truly lose your mind. However, one aspect of planning for me became a lifesaver.  After searching for months for entertainment that fit our needs/budget and style we found DJ Intense! Not only was she friendly and eager to become part of our special day she guided both me and my fiancé during the wedding planning. 

Everything from working on a timeline and picking our music to avoiding the awkwardness of our first dance. She was a total professional arriving early to set up her equipment and coordinate with the venue staff. Which for her was a breeze since she had visited the venue a week before to ensure she would have everything she needed the day of. Even with a wedding reception full of “non” dancing guests, she had the dance floor packed and kept the overall flow of the wedding right until the very end. I would highly recommend DJ Intense for any event you are considering having. She truly made our day and will definitely make yours.
